Curro Valentines Dance 2008

Today was the day that everyone in my age groups would look forward to- Valentines Day. We got wear casual clothes at school today and all the RCL(Representative Council of Learners) members had to skip all the classes. We had to decorate the entire hall for the Valentines Dance tonight. We had been planning this for weeks and had to  clean the hall nicely, bring all the tables, desks in and put glasses, dishes and lots of other things in correct places. This took about 6 hours and lots of effort. Everyone was sweating when we were done.

The Valentines Dance started at half past six. Every single person there was dressed stunningly. Most of the girls were wearing fancy dresses which they hired it for huge amount of money. Some of guys were wearing tuxedos. Once again we all looked super smart.

All the RCL members had to become waiters or waitresses. I was one of them and this was the first time I have ever done something like this. I think it was a great testimony to go through before adulthood. The DJ(Disco Jockey) was also there playing cool music for us. Everybody started dancing enthusiastically when the music began and even the teachers danced.

I have never danced so crazily before. Some of my friends and I were sweating (as if we had been in sauna) from dancing. Once again all the RCL members had to stay behind when the Ball was over. All of us worked hard until 12 45 in the morning even it was school day the next day. It was such a successful night. I was really proud of ourselves. Thank you guys.
